VBA Noob

Thanks for your reply. I'm still confused, though. Here's more detail. There are a few different parts to my dilemma, here.

First--Excel Help pages say the drop down box list has to be in a column with no blanks between. Can I get around that? The items in my list are titles of tables. Those are on the "Tables" sheet and they are in cells:B2, B19, B36 etc (17 cells apart in same column, with info between). The first drop down box is on the "Family" sheet in A19.

All the tables are set up the same. I copy/pasted the original table and changed data. Now in cell A19 on the "Family" sheet I choose the first option on the list, "Table 1." The title is in B2 on "Tables." I want cell B19 to return the number in C3 on Table 1. If I choose "Table 2," it's title is in cell B19 on "Tables", and the value returned in cell B19 on "Family" would then be C20 on "Tables."

There is more, but let's just start there.

I truly appreciate your response! I looked at the file you attached, however, I have never used VBA or VBE. I do pick up well on these things if I can look at it anf actually follow the process. What I have is a simple schedule that I am trying to make bullet proof because some of the Shift Sergeants seem to always find a way to delete formulas and such that cause me to have to go back and edit. Worse yet, they don't care enough about securtity to keep passwords a secret!

My vision would be to have a sign in page where authorized users could sign in and work with the document. All others would be able to activate a simple button on that page that would open the document as a read only.

Are you aware of sites where I can get specific examples of VBA or VBE code that I may study?

I apologize for not replying sooner, Holidays with kids and now two grandkids can keep one overly busy!
