Running VBA/Macro rich Excel file on a Mac

So I have a VBA and Macro rich excel file that runs fine on Windows.
I recently brought a Mac and then realized that the Mac does not support some of the VBA functions. When I ran it, I used to get this error "could not load on object because it is not available on this machine.".

Now I have installed a Windows7 VM (using virtual box) and bought a new Office 2013. Though the file is working better than it did on Mac, I still get the error "could not load on object because it is not available on this machine." and a bulk of the functionality is still broken.

    Any helpful advise folks?

    Thanks

Hi there are several differences between Excel for Windows and OSX. Principal amongst them is that Excel for Mac doesn't have Activex objects.

What is the object that you are attempting to load? Can you tell when you get the yellow highlight when the macro goes into debug?

Which virtual software are you using. Is that something called "VM" or something else like Parallels?

Are you using one of the Windows common controls for example? (List view, treeview etc) Or the Calendar control?

    Hey guys-
Actually I have someone else working on this project and had to ask him what was going on. He told me that an object that was available in 2007 is not available in 2013. One of the problems is the Datepicker. He is now rebuilding it to work across all platforms. This was not loading in the 2013 64 bit version. My file has the datepicker as the most important path to its working, so that pretty much made the file useless.

Btw I am using Virtual box to create the VMs. But this now pretty much rules out VM as the issue looks like.
