I currently run 32 bit Office 2010 on 64 bit Windows 10
Would I be able to
1 install 32 bit Office 2016 or
2 Standalone version of Excel 2016? (if such a thing exists)
on same computer?

You should be able to install Office 2016 and retain the earlier version as well. When you start installing the newer version, click on Custom Install, and this should allow you to retain the earlier version(s).
I'm not sure if you can install 2 versions of the same software.
Hope this helps.

Guess I will have to install office 2016 but I only really want Excel 2016 so I can play around with new functions
