Hi guys,
unfortunately my computer crashed some days ago and Windows is not running or repairable anymore. However, with Knoppix, I have been able to get back on my HDD and I am saving my data now to an external HDD before formatting and reinstalling windows.
I now would like to also save my emails, that i have in Outlook. Can somebody tell me, which folders I have to copy to do so? I know how to save my emails into a backup file, but with a non-operative MS Office, I cannot do that. Can someone tell me, where MS Outlook stores the emails normally and which folder I have to save before formatting?
Thanks in advance!
Look for pst and ost files in C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook

Thanks! Can you also tell me, where I find my contacts? Or is that also included there?
I'm not an Outlook wiz; in mine, they are.

Try using OE BackUp - it's free and will back up all your mail accounts and contacts, and then restore them back onto a clean installation. You can download it from here.
