I have Outlook 2007.
Whenever I receive a file attached with an e-mail (whether MS word or Excel), the file is read-only.
Is there any solution to receive the files as normal files...
Have you checked back with the sender of the file that they did not save it as a read only file?
What happens if you save the attachment to disk and open it from there?
Can you use Save As ... and save a copy that is not read only?

At Excelforum, you can say "Thank you!" by clicking theicon below the post.
Avoid pie charts with more than two data points. Why? See here (pdf, 559 kb). The only acceptable pie chart is here.
This happens with all files. But I have checked - no file is read-only with the sender..
I cannot even save the files to any drive.
