Recently set up a new computer (Windows 7 64 bit). After initial set up procedures, Windows naturally downloaded all of the updates that would be pending since the computer left the manufacturer (1st shutdown said there were 68 or so updates to install). Upon rebooting, during the process of installing updates, it reported that something had failed, and that it was "reverting", then finished booting up. It tried again, the next time it shut down/rebooted. Looking at the update history in Windows update, there is a long list of failed updates in the list. I detect no unusual hangup in the OS. Any experience with this kind of situation?
