Problem regarding changing the size of inserted shapes

Hi,

I want to change the size (width/length) of the shapes inserted in my sheet. On my computer, "shift+ left/right/up/down key" isn't working. What settings should be changed. I am unable to find the solution.

I am using excel 2007.

The keyboard shortcuts that are described in this article refer to the U.S. keyboard layout. Keys on other layouts might not correspond exactly to the keys on a U.S. keyboard.

Looks like the arrow keys only reposition the shape in xl2007.

On the ribbon, with the shape(s) selected, Drawing Tools > Format > Size. there are height and width spinner controls.
