    Using VLOOKUP twice

    hi every one. I am an intermediate user of excel. I need your kind help. Your help would be highly appreciated

    I have 3 books in a worksheet.
    Book 1 with 2 columns : Part-number , Update
    Book 2 with 2 columns: Part-number. Status
    Book 3 with 2 columns: Part-number. Status

    Now using vlookup in the cell below "update" in book 1, with ref to part-number i need to check in book 2 and 3 and input the values of status coloumn in book 1 update column.

    Book 2 and 3 part numbers are different.

    Book 1 consists of the complete part number list.

    Please help.

    =IFERROR(IFERROR(VLOOKUP(D2,Sheet2!$A$3:$K$57,11,FALSE),VLOOKUP(D2,'Sheet3'!$A$3:$L$91,12,FALSE)),"")
