Excel will show all the possibilities which contains the criteria, i.e."8".
If you tried to filter with 8, excel will show you here 8k, 8.5k and 8.5.
If you want filter with 8 only, enter 8 in the filter text box and uncheck the other three.

Re: Problem with filter by text box

    Hi Sterio,

You can filter only with 8 using "Advanced Filter" option under Data Tab.

    Steps

    1. Add 2 or 3 rows on the tob of your table (only for filtering purpose and you can remove it later).
    2. Copy and paste the same title in newly added first row.
    3. Give size as 8 as shown in the attachment.
    4. Place your cursor on your original table.
    5. Click Advance Filter under Data Tab.
    6. Select your whole original table as "List Range".
    7. Select your new 2 rows as your "Criteria"
    8. Click Ok.
Now you can see the filtered data.

    Hope this helps.
