Max Function Not Working Properly

Can someone please help. When I type something in B2 I want to search H3:H3000 for anything that matches what is in B2. Column G is supposed to Max any matches in H. I need help because Max in column G does not work right. As you can see in the workbook I have two #1,s and two #2's etc. and in Column E its only listing the first of each number. It should be listing all matching items. Thanks

Try changing the formula in G3 to:

=IF(ISNUMBER(SEARCH($B$2,H3)),MAX($G$2:G2)+1,0)
