Combine multiple workbooks with multiple tabs onto a master workbook

I'm sorry if this has been asked before; I couldn't find what I was looking for in the existing posts.

I receive 22 workbooks weekly that I need to combine into one workbook and thought some macro/VBA action would be great and have no idea where to start. The attached template I want to combine to is called Master and I have attached a couple sample files that I want to pull the information from. Any help would be much appreciated. The tabs of the workbooks are full of functions/formulas, drop downs, etc so I don't know if that creates a problem or not.

    Hi loumarday

    Couple questions...
    1. Where is the "template" (Master) stored?
    2. Where are the 22 Workbooks (Sample1, Sample2, etc.) stored?
    3. Are the 22 Workbooks (Sample1, Sample2, etc.) in a separate Folder for each week?

    Hi John,
Thanks for taking a look at this! The master template will be house on a network folder with only me having access to it. The 22 workbooks would come through email and I would save them to a sub folder in the same place I save the master. Yes, they would be in a separate folder labeled for each week.

Re: Combine multiple workbooks with multiple tabs onto a master workbook

    Hi loumarday

This Code is in the attached. It assumes the Master is in a Folder and the Data Files are in a Sub Folder of the Folder in which the Master resides.

You'll need to tell the Code what that Sub Folder Name is in this line of Code.
Please Login or Register to view this content.
The Code further assumes you wish to combine files for ONLY one Pay Ending Date. If this is not correct it can be modified. The Code will clear the Template (Master) before it executes. CTRL + x will fire the Code.

Re: Combine multiple workbooks with multiple tabs onto a master workbook

That is awesome! Thank you so much for your help. Worked perfectly. I'm pretty sure I get the gist of the code so if my master workbook has now morphed into one tab instead of all the separate tabs I should be able to adjust it accordingly (I think). Is there anything I should pay particular attention to while doing that?

Nothing comes to mind...Code will perhaps be significantly shorter.
