Extract Unique data based on multiple criteria

Hi,


Pls find the sample attachment. I need Unique "Position Code" Based on Name and Month&Year (C2 and D2 cells in summary sheet). When I select particular name and Month & Year then Unique position codes need to extract from Source Data based on criteria.

What have you tried so far?

Following the adage "give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime" it will benefit you immensely if you at least attempt a solution yourself. Try the following.

Use the Macro Recorder with Excel's Data Advanced Filter functionality to copy the records required from the database (A1:D1179) on the Source Data sheet to the output range you define, i.e A4 on the Summary sheet. You'll need to create a criteria range which is C1:D2 on the Summary.

When you've done that reupload the workbook and we'll show you how to edit and generalise the macro code to make it more efficient.

I need unique values by using formula only. I don't want vba code. i extracted unique values but not based on criteria. I tried to add the criterial but failed. Pls help on this.

Why ever not?

An Advanced Data filter is the simplest way to go. If you're not prepared to have a one line macro to do it for you then do it manually.
