Night Differential exceeding regular hour work day

    Hello Everyone -

I'm new to the forum. First and foremost, I appreciate any assistance that you're able to provide. I've read through multiple threads about calculating total hours work, overtime, night differential (i.e., premium pay), etc., which have all been helpful. The complication I have is when a worker's accumulation of night differential exceeds the formula parameters. My organization reimburses workers when traveling internationally (e.g., Los Angeles to Prague, Czech Republic). Night Differential is accumulated from 6p-6a and we utilize one time-zone to provide reimbursement. The tricky part is when our workers travel back (East to West) because they can often accumulate more 12 hours of night diff. alloted by the formula (these are highlighted in the attachment).

    Example:
    Cell G11: =MAX(0,MIN(D11,INT(C11)+1+"6:00")-MAX(C11,INT(C11)+"18:00"))*24

    Thanks again for the help!

Hi there - what should Night Diff. Hrs for Mission Return for John Snow be? If I am understanding this correctly, it should be 12 + number of hours in flight?

Oh, my apologies. The initial example for "John SNOW" on Mission Return did fall within the 12 hour parameter (6pm-6am). In this attached version, i changed the "Mission Return" to reflect the hours I'm looking to accomplish. Therefore, the results of each Night Diff entry should be:

    John SNOW:
    Mission Depature - 5hrs
    Mission Return - 16hrs

    Rob SHAW:
    Mission Departure - 13.5hrs
    Mission Return - 11 hrs

    Thanks again for the assistance!
