When you say it threw the graph way off, I assume you mean that the 'slope' appeared to move to the right of the chart? In addition to changing the dates in the table, you need to change the dates in the x-axis as well.
Click inside the chart and then click on the x-axis (on or between the dates), until just the axis is selected. Then right-click and select 'Format Axis'. You'll see that the Minimum and Maximum are 'Fixed' at 42614.0 and 42675.0. These are the numerical equivalents of 1st Sep and 1st Nov 16.
To change these, just add the appropriate number of days to set the date(s) you want. (Or enter a date in Excel, then format that cell as 'General' and you'll get the number.) 1 Nov 16 = 42675, 1 Dec 16 = 42705, 1 Jan 17 = 42736.
The 'Major unit' is set at 14, which gives you a label on the axis every fortnight.
Hope that helps.

I recently started a new job so am a bit busy and may not reply quickly. Sorry - it's not personal - I will reply eventually.
If your problem is solved, please go to 'Thread Tools' above your first post and 'Mark this Thread as Solved'.
If you use commas as your decimal separator (1,23 instead of 1.23) then please replace commas with semi-colons in your formulae.
You don't need to give me rep if I helped, but a thank-you is nice.
Thank you - ive got it - is it possible to have the hill coloured
