Recording who played together on weekly teams

I wish to record those who played together on Team A in the range E5:L12 by placing a "1" in the intersecting cells. The goal is to keep a record of who has played with whom so we can mix up the people on the teams. I would capture something like this each week on its separate sheet, then sum across sheets so the person doing the pairing of teams can see who has played with another person too many times.

Perhaps I have approached this in the wrong way by using this E5:L12 range idea. If you see a better approach please mention it.

You mention separate sheets but there is only one in your sample workbook. I think we need to have a clearer idea of how you are going to be recording the data and how you anticipate the calculations will be made (and where). Maybe you can adjust the attachment to mock up what you want?

Sorry, perhaps I should not have mentioned the several sheets. Let's just work with this one sheet. How do I get a "1" into the intersection of George & Bob? Then another into the intersection of George and Mike? Etc.

Where is that information coming from? I presume you want a formula to fill the pink matrix?

I posted the original thread prematurely. I need to do some more personal research to ascertain exactly what it is I need to achieve. This is a small section of a very large and complex mathematical model, and is actually superfluous to the real purpose of the model...just a (potential) assist to the guy who sets up the teams. Thanks for your input.
