    Form Width locked down

I don't really like double dipping in the same day, but I'm trying to adjust the width on one of my forms because it's ridiculously wide for what I need, but every time I try to change the "Movable" Selection in the format tab to "Yes" so that I can adjust it, it defaults back to "No". I've tried typing "Yes" in manually but I get an error message telling me to choose from an item on the list, even though "Yes" is in the list. I've also tried typing in the correct width measurement in the "Width" box, but it keeps defaulting back to 14.768". I'm not using a template or someone else's file. The answer's probably really obvious but I'm teaching myself how to use Access as I go and I'm a bit fried at this point in the day.

    Re: Form Width locked down

Its been a while since I created a form in Access however if I remember correctly the width defaults to at least the end of the longest field. Do you have some field in there thats longer?

    Re: Form Width locked down

Not intentionally, but I'm going to check and let you know. If the fields are all smaller but the form width is still really wide, what are some other actions I can take? Also, I don't particularly like making forms but a nice GUI is the fastest way to get everyone on board with it and actually using it regularly. A database is no good if it never gets updated after all.
