    Running Outlook on Multiple Computers

Hi, I didn't know there was an outlook forum here. How Cool :-)

We use Outlook 2007 at work.
I just installed Outlook 2016 at home.

I would like to be able to use my work email at home. I know I can set it up with my work credentials. My question: What are possible issues? For example: Will I see my existing subfolders on my home computer or is all that on the local machine? If I send an email while on the home machine or save an email as draft will those also appear in the appropriate folders on the work machine? I've never used the 2016 Office before and it was given as a gift since I like playing with software.

I work from home, and use Office 2010. I have two .ost files, one for work and one for home, and start Outlook with one or the other -- they can't be open simultaneously. That's good behavior, IMO; I don't want to mix the two.

That's an interesting approach. I have outlook at the office and now outlook at home. I only use outlook for work. I did notice that my subfolder all appears on the home machine and so did the drafts. Right now I am trying to find out where all the messages in my inbox went to. At work I don't sort the inbox into a bunch of folders like others do. I leave them in the inbox and use the search function to isolate the ones I need. But, my inbox at home is not fully populated like the one at work. I wonder if I copied the ost from work and then placed it on the home machine if that would work. I'm afraid the difference in versions between 07 and 16 might be an issue.

    Hi Mr_Phil,

You can do this easy enough if the company are set up for Outlook Anywhere. It is just a case of installing Outlook on your new machine and putting in the appropriate settings. When setting this up you can either chose a cashed mode, or online mode. I'd suggest the cashed mode as you can work offline this way. You will see everything that you do at work, and this syncs up to keep everything in order. You shouldn't have any problems this way.
