I need some assistance. I am creating a spreadsheet to calculate budgetary allowance on a daily basis. I have successfully set it using the following formula:
A1= Monthly Budget for a given Expense account.
=A1/(EOMONTH(TODAY(),0)-TODAY())
I have just been informed since this is for work, it must exclude weekends. Please advise how to achieve this
NETWORKDAYS() will count the number of weekdays between two given dates. It even has an optional 3rd parameter where you could specifically list holidays you want skipped as well.
=NETWORKDAYS(StartDate, EndDate, [HolidayRange])
So maybe:
=A1 / NETWORKDAYS(EOMONTH(TODAY(),0), TODAY())

It is stating that I have entered too few arguments for this function.
=A1 / NETWORKDAYS(EOMONTH(TODAY(),0), TODAY())
Works for me
It still isn't working.
It states this function takes no arguments.
at the same time it says I've entered too few arguments...
I'm lost.
upload a workbook or a sample cut down copy, remove sensitive information
Looks correct to me as well.
Attach a sample workbook.
Remember to desensitize the data.
Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.
