Exclude some months on chart

I want to chart 13 months of data from Jan to Dec for 2015 and Dec 2016. The chart displays Jan 2016 to Nov 2016 which has no values. How can I display only the 13 months?

Might need a better description of exactly what you are trying to do. You also might make your description of the problem more consistent with your sample file. Your description says that Jan-Nov 2016 have not values, but Jan and Feb 2016 do have values, and you don't have values for Jan to Jun 2015.

My first thought, would be to Select horizontal axis -> change the axis type from "automatically select based on data" to "text axis". This will cause Excel to treat the dates as categories instead of true dates on the chart.

Is that what you are looking for, or is there something I am failing to understand.
