"Visual Basics in 21 days by Matthew Harris"

Was very old book. I bought it for nothing (Only paid the delivery cost). I am not sure if it is still in book stores. It might be on Amazon's second hand section.

Having said that, IMO, you can only learn by "Doing". It is like learning how to drive. You can master all the tools on paper, but it is completely new world when you are behind the wheels. I have bought many books over the years and most of them are gathering dust on my book shelf.

    Hi,

As AB33 says the best way is to just get stuck in. Look at some of the questions asked here and follow the responses and try to learn from them by replicating examples given and playing around with them. When you get stuck - as you will, (didn't we all), just ask your own question here.

We all no doubt have our own favourite books. Mine were

    Writing-Excel-Macros-VBA-PhD-Steven-Roman

    And
    Excel-2000-VBA-Programmers-Reference-John-Green

With this last one, although there are newer (more expensive editions than 2000) the basic VBA hasn't changed and for 1 penny, in my opinion it's not worth buying more expensive editions. This last one has the advantage of containing a complete object model and reference guide as well as explanations and examples of all the stuff you need to get you started.
