Excel Help in relating to Name manager Data validation Match & Indirect

Hello I defined a name range for certain values & using the named range in Data validation. So that I can enter only those values which are associated with that value.


I have Two sheets DATA & RAW DATA


In RAW DATA sheet in Column B & C I am entering values manually which are linked with DATA sheet through Name manager & using the formula =MATCH(C2,INDIRECT(B2),0)
with the above formula if I write any Wrong value in C2 which are not linked with B2 then I am getting Error message.


Similarly I want that IF in the DATA sheet if Column H=0 or "" then I can not enter any value in column HIJKL of RAW DATA, so what should be the code ??

Your explanation is not clear enough for me. Will you please attach a sample Excel workbook? Please don't attach a picture of one.

1. Make sure that your sample data are REPRESENTATIVE of your real data. The use of unrepresentative data is very frustrating and can lead to long delays in reaching a solution.

2. Make sure that your desired solution is also shown (mock up the results manually).

3. Make sure that all confidential information is removed first!!

4. Try to avoid using merged cells. They cause lots of problems!

Unfortunately the attachment icon doesn't work at the moment. So, to attach an Excel file you have to do the following: Just before posting, scroll down to Go Advanced and then scroll down to Manage Attachments. Now follow the instructions at the top of that screen.
