I have a 7 where there shold be a 1

this might be more of a bugging problem than an Excel, but I'll start here.

When I hit the 1 key in my excel program a 7 appears. I have completely removed a prior version of Office and replaced it with a new version 0f office 2003 - no go - still screwy

Again I know this isn't an Excel question specifically, but maybe someone can point me in the right direction...

Does this only happen in Excel or other programs such as Word as well?
