    How to make Attendance Database

    Hello all,

I am trying to build a database tracking team members attendance. there are 2 major tables [tblAttend] and [tblEmployee]; linked together by field [EmployeeID].
Team Members gain points for absences but they have a chance to earn back 1 point for every two months of perfect attendance (filtering categories such as sick, absent, and late). 1 year after their absence the points that they've earned will drop off. how do I build a query that will subtract points earned in year increments, and subtracting 1 point every two months of perfect attendance.

    please give possible suggestions

    Thanks

Re: How to make Attendance Database

I know this thread is old, however, I find the spreadsheet you attached very useful. Is there anyway to add employee names, IDs, etc in a drop down format, so that when
I need to update their attendance I can just click the drop down box? The reason I'm asking is we're implementing a new attendance point system type and I am responsible
for 200+ employees' attendance I'm trying to avoid to having create this individually for each permanent and temp employee.

You're help would be greatly appreciated.
