    Run-time error '4605' This command is not available

    Hello all,

    I got this macro from this location here...

    http://www.gmayor.com/batch_replace.htm


    but it doesn't work, it gives me the following error
    Run-time error '4605':
    This command is not available

    It errors on the 3rd to last line of code here..

    Thanks for that link but, it really doesn't address my issue directly.

    My take on the original link/code provided was that the documents didn't have to be in the "open" state for the macro to work.

    I assumed that you could just point to a folder and replace all Word docs within that folder that have text "x" with text "y".

    If I'm opening up every Word doc anyways, I might as well just replace the text "manually" since I'm already there.

    Any further thoughts on this from anyone?

    Are you automating this from Excel or Word?

    If from Word, the code would need to be in your Normal template, else the doc it's in gets closed by the code.

    I am automating this from Word 2007.

    I put this in my "Normal.dotm" template under the default "Module1".

    Any thoughts?
