    Cant copy formula down column

This is really frustrating, in 2003 I would write a formula, i.e. =-A2 and then drag id down the column and the forumla would adjust to its relative placement, so that in the next row of that column the formula would be =-A3 ect..

I am now working with Excel 2007, and when I preform this the formula does reflect the change BUT the value stays the same throuh out the entire column. this is 100% incorrect.

    I have read the help

I have entered the formula in various different ways

I have pressed CTR + Enter and then dragged,

this is a simple function, why can I not preform it!!!

    Please help

    Thanks

You might have your Calculations set to Manual....

Go to Formulas tab and in the Calculation section, click Calculation Options and choose Automatic.

    Does that fix it?

Funny thing is I had this bright Idea to check if there was an option RE this almost immediately after I posted, and I did find this option and I did exactly what you just suggested.... and it works! I was just coming back to remove the post and not embarrass myself! LOL thanks for the help though.
