Unhappy Why do I get this ERROR in Excel Web Query?

I'm trying to import an XML file from a web-base URL that has an https connection which requires my developer key. I get the message you must specify a developer key.
However when input the URL in FireFox I can see the xml file. I'm also using Modify Headers add-on for FF with my developer key which appears fine in the web browser, just not excel when trying to import the data via web query.

How would i be able to display/import the content using web query in excel?

Have you tried using an XML data import, rather than a web query?

Kyle thanks for the reply. I rather get it https this way I can update/refresh the connection for new data/updates.

If I save the file in .xml and upload the way you suggest. I wouldn't be able to make a connection for updates.

Why? As far as I can see, you'd be receiving the data over https and it would be refreshable?

No, your right. I'm importing it the way you suggested. Thanks!

Kyle I just thought about why I was doing it this way.

Because I need to write a script for excel to get URL's and import the data since I'm limited to paging records.

Have you got any more background around what you want to do and want to achieve?

I don't see how importing from web is any different from importing xml as far as scripting is concerned

I have a REST API URI that returns 3457 records in which I can only retrieve 100 records per page. So to visit each page (304) and download the .xml file and import it one at a time...is quite cumbersome, so I would suspect at some point my excel sheet will need to access the web with my developer key to read the URL that requires authentication.

My goal is to use iMacros to GOTO all URL's page1-304 download the xml file and import them into excel.

The problem is: I don't know iMacros and scripting to complete what appears to be a simple takes.

Would you happen to know a iMacros/Script to complete this task?

I think XML data import can be quite useful here rather using web query. Try this I hope this will work for them.

James, so you're saying get the data, save the data and then upload the data? If so it's not what I'm trying to do.

    What are iMacros?

Do you mean VBA macros, if so, how much knowledge do you have? Are you looking for someone to write a complete solution for you, or just point you in the right direction?
