    I am confused where the reference range SCROLL_DATA and SCROLL_LABELS are set.

    with the help of Andy pope's page I have preapred a scroller chart file. If
    you are interested send me an email and I shall send it as an attachment.

    meanwhile you may get an advice from the MVP which may solve your problem

    Hi,

    You need to use the Defined Name dialog. Press CTRL+F3 to display this.
    Or via menus Insert > Names > Define
