Question Find a net in a column

I really hope someone can help me. I'm using Excel 2002 SP3

I have a column of numbers, 1082 of them in total. I know that some of the numbers on the list net to a certain number, say "X". I don't know which of the numbers or even how many of the numbers but, because of other info I have, SOME of the numbers on the list MUST net to X. In order to resolve the issue I'm working on, I have to find which of the 1,082 numbers on the list net to X. The possible number of combinations is staggering (I think it would be 1082 to the second power + 1082 to the third power + etc ...all the way to + 1082 to the 1082th power number of combinations) so you could see why I'd want the computer to do it for me.

Is there a function where I can have excel search for any combination of numbers within the 1,082 that net to X? Know what I mean? It could be two numbers or it could be 1,000. I have no way of telling. Somewhere in this list of numbers are some amount of numbers that net to X.

You cannot solve this problem using Excel - it is simply too big for Excel, and probably for a
    single computer.
