    Looking at previous columns

I've got a pretty long multiple IF statement to work out the most recent date from several columns, and then returns a figure in the column to the left. This works fine, but I want to be able to use it to work out the previous figure. The previous figure will be 2 columns to the left of the most recent.

In short, All i want to know is...Is there a way of getting excel to find the most recent figure and then jump back two columns?

hope I have understood. use offset function. offset(0,-2) will go to the
cell in the same row 2 columns to the left.

Don't know exactly what the code should be to jump a cell to te left,
but i know it can be done with 'cell offset'
Hope this will help you a bit.
