Database needs to be repaired HELP!!!

Hello everyone, thanks for taking the time to help me with this issue.

I have built an automated timesheet for my company using Excel which quieries an access database. If the admin are working on the database users sometimes get an error on the timesheet saying something on the lines of

Database Xxxxx.dbs Needs to be repaired!

I understand that this is an unsupressable error that is generated by Excel, What i was wondering was is there a way to check if the database is available or.... working properly and if not, skip the code that generates the unsupressable error? (btw the error is caused by me quiering the database).

You may want to try one of the Access newsgroups if you don't get a good reply
