I was able to download 3 files from 3.5 floppy disk once in excel format and
printed one file, but since then the system kept saying my disk needs format
or may be in MacIntosh.

DG,
In windows explorer, copy the files to your hard drive and run them from
there.
NEVER run Excel files from a floppy disk.

DG,
If Explore cannot read the files either you might need to take the diskette to another pc, and get the files transferred to a newly formatted disk.
I use Excel on floppy drives, memory sticks, CD's and network drives without problems except for those problems that also reflect in other programs.
An older model PC/Laptop is usually best for this purpose, reason totally unknown.
