    for instance,

    in b2:b4, i got good, good, bad and okie. now i wan to colour the cells according to their status.

    good= green

    okie =yellow

    bad= red

    You can use Conditional Formatting as long as you just have 3
    colors being added by the conditions.
    http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/condfmt.htm
    and if you have high speed access (Macromedia flash (swf) presentation)
    http://www.datapigtechnologies.com/f...rmatexcel.html

    Your name and correct capitalization and spelling would be a lot
    easier reading.

    Re: colour problems

    You can use Conditional Formatting as long as you just have 3
    colors being added by the conditions.
    http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/condfmt.htm
    and if you have high speed access (Macromedia flash (swf) presentation)
    http://www.datapigtechnologies.com/f...rmatexcel.html

    Your name and correct capitalization and spelling would be a lot
    easier reading.
