    what is this, how do I avoid it?

    9.00418E+11
    I get this when I import a list of numbers into a new spreadsheet. How do I avoid this?

    The value 9.00418E+11 is scientific notation and means 9.00418 x 10 to the 11th power: 900418000000.00

    To make it display properly, change the number format to something more appropriate:
    Format>Cells>Number
    Change category to Number

    Adjust the column width as necessary.
