Question Print same header at top of each printed page

I am looking to print the same header at the top of each printed page. I have gone to File/Page Setup/Sheet. It then says rows to repeat at top and I have put in the row number, it then says "reference not valid". Is there a syntex problem or Am I totally wrong?

    Good evening God's Kid

After the first read of your post I couldn't figure out what might be wrong, but after reading it more literally, I figured it out.

Excel expects you to click on the ref edit icon on the right of the box and select a row to print on every page. Once you do this the sytax becomes something like this:

    $1:$2
