How do I turn off the Copyright Symbol?

Every time I enter left parens( the letter "c" and then right parens ) I get
the copyright symbol. How do I resolve this?

Go to Tools->Options->Spelling tab then select AutoCorrect Options. From here you'll see a check box labeled Replace text as you type. Underneath you'll see the copyright symbol. You can either choose to delete it or just uncheck the box.

Tools > Autocorrect Options... and then turn off the offending correction
