How do i save a 12 digit number in a .csv document in excell?

i am trying to create a .csv (comma delimited text file) spreadsheet. one of
the columns contains a 12 digit number. when i go to save it, however,
excell keeps changing the 12 digit number to scientific formula. is there
any way to save a 12 digit number in a .csv document?

    Save your file as .csv
Then re-open the file with Notepad and you will see the correct format.
However, if you re-open the file with Excel, then Excel will change the
    format to scientific.

It's not the saving that's the problem, it's the re-openning.

If you want Excel to stop "helping" you, then preceed the number with a
    single quote (apostrophe).

Format the cells as Number vs General & Excel will display all 12 digits
