    formula formation

    I am new to excel.
I have a value say 4500, a growth rate of 2.4% and date, say between
    2/14/2002 and 12/31/2005.
Value for 2002 is a function of (start date, end date and value and
    rate).,(2/14/2002,12/31/2002 and 4500 and 2.4%)
VALUE FOR 2003 IS A FUNCTION OF (PREVIOUS VALUE, GROWTH RATE) ( vALUE
    OF 2002 AND GROWTH RATE)

The problem is I know the theory part but I am having a difficulty
putting it in excel.I have tried a lot, searching for some clues in
    this group.
Do I need some VBA programming for this??

    Hi,

You do not need any programming ...
If you are talking about future value take a look in help at function FV()
