    Excel 2002 Pivot Tables

    Hi All,

Any idea how to get the data to repeat itself when using pivot tables?

    eg...

    Sum of Qty
    Type Variant Total
    Fruit Apples 4
    ___________Orange 3
    ___________Pears 5
    Fruit Total 12
    Vegetables Carrots 5
    ___________Peas 7
    ___________Potatoes 6
    Vegetables Total 18
    Grand Total 30

In other words getting "Fruit" and "Vegetables" to repeat on the lines below.. I have put the "___________" in to indicate the lines to be filled down from above...

    Any ideas?

Not and keep that pivottable as a pivottable.

You could convert it to values (or copy to a new sheet and do it there and keep
the pivottable alive), then manipulate the data the way you want.

Debra Dalgleish shows a nice way to fill those cells:
