counif greater or less than

This is my current countif statement:

=COUNTIF(J3:J33,"<-10")

BUT, I want to count anytime the cells are 10 or greater positive or negative.

Please help!

Try

=SUMPRODUCT(--(ABS(J3:J33)>=10))

One way

=SUMPRODUCT(--(ABS(J3:J33)>10))

if you are going to use countif you need to use it 2 times like

=COUNTIF(J3:J33,"<-10")+COUNTIF(J3:J33,">10")
