    Conditional formatting strangeness

i've applied a conditional formatting formula to a range of cells, when the condition is true the formatting only occurs in the top left cell of the area

    anybody know why???

    RE: Conditional formatting strangeness

You've most likely misused a relative/absolute address. Check the conditional
format of ONE of the cells which is not working and you'll probably see the
    error.

Tell us what formula you have used. Do it have absolute referencing such as
    $B$3 ?
