How can I automatically input the days date in a cell?
How can I automatically input the days date in a cell?
The formula
=TODAY()
will return the current date, and will update everytime the
workbook is calculated. If you want to insert today's date as a
constant value, one the will not change, press CTRL <semicolon> .

Ctrl + ;
if you want to enter the time you would use
Ctrl + :
+ does not mean entering the plus sign it mean you hit Ctrl plus the
semicolon
you can also use formulas
=TODAY()
=NOW()
the formulas will change, then keyboard shortcuts will not
