    Excel Icon??

    Hi, does any one know!

Is there any way of changing the, green X, excel shortcut icon to a personal icon created by myself to make it my own and when double clicking on it it will go straight into my, or specific excel program?

You can specify the app associated with each file extension; right click the
file, General>Change.., then select the app.
This is a global setting so all (e.g. .xls) files will be opened with that
    app.
Depending what you want to achieve, it may not make sense to open a file in
an app that does not understand the Excel file format.

    Excel Icon??

    Hi,

If i right click on the file i don't get the General > change option....also a bit lost with the "app" setting?. I would like to change the green excel icon to my own custom icon that launches my custom excel program.

Yes, from there you select you "custom excel program" and the icon will be
    the icon associated this app.
I assume by "custom excel program" you really mean a standalone .exe that
you have created and compiled. Or do you mean an XL worksheet with some
    coded VBA ?
