Typing "12345" and have it automaticly formated to "123.45"?

Does anyone know anything about formatting cells so they would behave like an accounting calculator. As in typing "12345" without pressing any decimal key, and have it use the last two digits as the tenth and hundredth decimal place, ie) "123.45"?

If it isn't possible, it would be informative to know that as well.

Go to the Tools menu, choose Options, then the Edit tab. There,
check the Fixed Decimals setting and choose the number of decimal
places you want (default is 2).

From the Excel main menu
<tools><options><edit tab>
Check: Fixed decimal
Set Places to 2

I should have added that this changes the actual value of the
cell, not just the displayed value.

In any future cases, you might keep in mind that you can simply change
the formatting of the 'problem' cell. By right-clicking selecting
Format Cell, you can ensure that the cell you selected isn't set as a
date, currency, decimal, so on and so forth. Just FYI! Glad they
resolved the issue for you!
