    autoupdating charts

    Hi

In a weekly progress report I would update a quantity performed which in turn updates an accumulated quantity.

Instead of presenting the data I present a chart showing the performance. My problem is that everytime I add data I have to change the source data in the chart and add the weeks cells to include those.

Is there a way around that so that I only have to enter the data and the chart automatically takes the new data into consideration?

    /Møller

    Check out http://peltiertech.com/Excel/Charts/...umnChart1.html. It
not only has a good example of this type of dynamic charting, it also has an
example for how to limit the chart to a date range as well.

The technique relies on the OFFSET function and named ranges.

WARNING: Once you start using this technique, you'll never stop!
