    Homework & coursework

No doubt quite a number of posts here are related to someone's homework/coursework. Is there a "rule of thumb" that is applied when it's blindingly obvious; e.g. when two posts are asking for the SAME solution with the SAME raw data, but (apparently) from different parts of the world?

I'll try to help anyone - (hopefully) within my ability, but what do others do in these situations?

    Re: Homework & coursework

If someone is basically asking for a homework assignment to be done for them, I would usually say we don't do homework for people. If they are asking for guidance, then I might try to offer that. However, it is often the case that someone else will just jump in and provide an end to end solution, which rather defeats the object in my opinion. So, on that basis, either way, I'd probably leave well alone.
