    Chrome Malware Warning

    Hello all.
Last few days been getting a 'The site ahead contains Malware' warning, anybody else seeing this message? See attached screenshot.

    Chrome Warning.jpg

I''ve just found various post in the Suggestions for Improvement forum so my question is redundant but I'll leave the post as reference for others. Seem the forum is under malware attack again. Think I'll go away while its' sorted.

    Re: Chrome Malware Warning

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I'm still getting the warnings today. I'm particularly concerned about the link provided by Tsjallie within the forum link provided by Ford.

Seems the forum has a bad reputation in certain quarters. Really not sure if all's safe here. Just posting this I've received two warnings.

    AV didn't register a problem.

@snb, no you can't. It's inserted via obsfucated javascript - looks like the canned replies script to me

    Re: Chrome Malware Warning

    Thanks for the replies everyone.

Still getting the warnings but have inspected the site with Norton Web Safe and Comodo Web Inspector and all say the site is clean. Even Google itself from 4 days ago, see attached screenshot:

    Google Transparency Report.jpg

I'm wondering if the tech team have a asked Google to clean up the site and ask for a review, as in the link for 'Webmasters'. Are these old warnings?

    Re: Chrome Malware Warning

It says on the site check that excelforum was last checked on the 4th.

Without question, the malware is still on the site, I can see it at the bottom of the JavaScript on the canned-replies external script

Google won't clean up the site, security and clean up is the owner's responsiblilty and in this case it appears that the owner has no inclination of doing so

    Re: Chrome Malware Warning

    @Kyle

Yes, I know Google won't clean the site of Malware but I read that the site owners have to ask them to clean up any old redundant warnings that remain from previous detections. See link:

    http://www.pcworld.com/article/19280...ok_guilty.html

clean up is the owner's responsiblilty and in this case it appears that the owner has no inclination of doing so
As this has been going on for a while you are most likely correct in your assumption.
