I'm used to those being hyperlinks, but lately the links seem disabled.
This is the case on my Mac, with both Safari and Firefox Also at my work PC with IE.
Is this an un-expected result of the new(ish) forum skin?

I'm thinking it's a mixture of the site not being 100% compatible across browsers, and your screen resolution not being large enough to fit the header buttons on one row. All of the buttons should fit on one row, and if not, they may be wrapping to another row and laying on top of the links you mentioned.
In my Firefox 3.5.8 and IE8 if I shrink the screen the buttons don't actually wrap any longer (they used to), and my links stay active.
Mike, if you weren't aware, they added a drop box to the bottom of the forum pages. Use it to select Child of 3.7.2 creation and you will have the old familiar skin back working the way you're used to.
FYI.

JBeaucaire, many thanks for the pointer to the skin selector.

DonkeyOte,
Just curious, is the skin use being logged?
I've resisted going back to the old version until now as I "looked to the future etc etc" & fought my inherent resistance to change. On seeing this post I thought I'd give it a go as my memories of the old days are fading. The impact is immediate - no more squinting at the screen when I haven't got my sunglasses on!
I think I'm going to stay as a Child of 3.7.2 creation.

Would it be bad form for us to actively promote people switch back so they can see our use of standard features...like color-coding sections of CODE to highlight?

I've not seen it mentioned but I suspect Vai & co. are monitoring - if not they should be.Originally Posted by Rob
As for promoting the old skin - I don't know - as I say I know a number of "heavy" users use it given everything works and can be seen.
The fact that that not all members see the same content is perhaps a bit of a worry (eg colour coded code as mentioned by JB)

I must be the odd one out as I still like the new skin and having briefly gone back to the old one changed again pretty quickly.
Obviously it would be nice if some of the issues that have been raised got sorted but it seems that isn't a priority for anyone who can do anything about it.
