Thread: Too Many Rep Points in the Last 24 Hours?

How many am I allowed to give per 24 hours? I have apparently exceeded my limit and have been prompted to try again in 24 hours.

The rep system seems to be a bit of a mystery generally.
Perhaps you just need to be more discerning?

I guess I am going to have to be. I don't just tap the scales for nothing but I guess you are right, I'll have to be a little more discerning. I like handing out scale taps to those that try hard or have code that kicks bum!

A bit of research seems to indicate that the default setting for vBulletin is to be able to rep 10 different people in any 24 hour period. I don't know if that has been changed for this forum.

10 doesn't really seem to be that many in a 24 hour period. Then again, maybe I am coming to this site too much

There's a good subject for the water cooler. "How many rep points do you give out on average?.... 1/day, week, year?" "Who's the stingiest mod? most generous?" I can go days without any and then give out 3-4 in a day. I've never hit the limit like Mordred.

I like to scale tap those around my own rank because there have been many times that I haven't received taps for helping and I imagine that happens to most that help. I'll scale tap anyone that helps out a thread that I've started or if one of you gurus blows me away with some working-funky-code!
