Eric Whitacre (classical composer) asked people to take his sheet music and sing into the computer (make individual you tube videos) and then he took all of these recordings (over 2000 from 58 countries, he didn't omit any) and combined them into a single composition.

I thought it was pretty impressive. Definitely a neat trick. I guess all the bad voices cancelled each other out. He's up for a grammy this year (for an album with a traditional choir, not a virtual one).
