Hi everyone,
Can anyone knows any tips about how can i hide windows version on the Desktop?
question back: How do you show the windows version on the destktop? What exactly is it that you want to hide.
And why would you want to hide that information?

At Excelforum, you can say "Thank you!" by clicking theicon below the post.
Avoid pie charts with more than two data points. Why? See here (pdf, 559 kb). The only acceptable pie chart is here.
This may work (?)
1. Go to Microsoft's Power Toys page:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/D...powertoys.mspx
2. In the right hand frame, select and download Tweak UI (147 kb size)
3. Run Tweak UI, select General, in the Settings window scroll down to the last option and deselect Show...on Desktop

An easier way without software is a REGISTRY HACK (well its called a hack but its not a hack at all) see below
Key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop
Value PaintDesktopVersion
Data 1 or 0 (1 - OS Version is enabled ; 2 - disabled)
Type REG_DWORD
Tweak UI is a (user friendly) registry interface. You don't have to know hives, keys, data or values; nor worry about type-o's that can cause havoc, especially with neophytes...
I think it's worth a look.
